Loop Stage: Martigny

Nestled in the crook of the Rhône, Martigny boasts a multitude of assets. Its location, environment, artistic and cultural activity, as well as its quality of life make the City of Octodure a pleasant and dynamic place that is good to live in. Crossroads of the Alps, at the foot of the Grand-St-Bernard and Forclaz passes, Martigny is an ideal starting point for beautiful road cycling or mountain biking tours.

The region abounds in diverse cultural opportunities: while the Pierre Gianadda Foundation has been making it shine across Europe for over 40 years, art and culture are everywhere, from the vestiges of ancient Octodure to the works adorning its roundabouts, including the Manoir de la Ville. Tradition is not forgotten with Barryland, an immersive and interactive museum centered around a national myth: the St. Bernard dog. Cultural and festive (with the unmissable Foire du Valais or the traditional Foire au Lard), Martigny is also a city that loves cycling and is hosting the Tour de Romandie for the twelfth time.

In the Book of Honor of Winners in Octodure, you will find 4 world champions (André Darrigade, Louison Bobet, Mario Cipollini, and Peter Sagan).

Why not a fifth this year?
