Cantons
Convinced by the dynamism and discipline of the organising committee, by the strong media coverage of the Tour, by its international impact and its popular character, the cantons are continuing their financial support for the 2025 edition on the same basis as for the previous years.
The Tour de Romandie is financed by the Lottery Funds of each canton and not by public funds.
Canton of Berne
the touristic Canton of Berne is one of Switzerland’s most diversified regions. From the federal town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world-famous mountain trio of the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau, to the Emmental and the Seeland valleys, the canton has a destination to suit everyone. The pretty landscapes dotted with glittering lakes and surrounded by majestic mountains are just as appealing as the world-renowned events, refined products, lively traditions and authentic customs.

Canton of Fribourg
In a bilingual environment, the seven touristic regions of the Canton de Fribourg welcome you between its know-how, traditions and innovation. The canton has a packed cultural and sporting calendar, and can claim the youngest population in Switzerland. In addition, its university courses are being developed thanks to close collaboration between the many industries and companies found in the territory.

Initiated by the association Fribourgissima, the Fribourg cantonal brand aims to bring together all the canton’s stakeholders under one identity. In this way, the values held so dearly by this canton are highlighted and guarantee constant development, while remaining fairly realistic.

Canton of Geneva
The Canton of Geneva, which has an international reputation thanks in particular to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), also has rich history and heritage. Birthplace of the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, starting point of the World Wide Web, a junction between the Rhone and the Arve, and cradle of watchmaking, the canton is brimming with anecdotes, activities and events that appeal to all tastes.

Under the management of the Geneva Tourism & Conventions Foundation, Geneva Tourism supports and steers the former, helping it develop tourism in the canton. Geneva Tourism is also responsible for the canton’s territorial marketing and focuses its activities around current issues, for example sustainable tourism.

Canton of Jura
Although quite a new canton, Jura has not forgotten its traditions and knows how to celebrate them properly. Its terroir is not left out, whether in its visitors’ stomachs, for example with the Damassine spirit or the Tête de Moine fromage (both products holding the ‘AOP’ indication - protected designation of origin), or on their wrists, with many renowned watchmaking companies setting up in the canton and building their plants there.

Managed by the Canton of Jura’s Information and Communications department, the Jura l’original brand aims to promote economic development and innovation in the canton. However, it is not only a brand used by the Economic Promotion (cantonal service): Jura l’original also authenticates over 400 local products.

Canton of Neuchâtel
A land of contrasts, the Canton of Neuchâtel offers its current and future inhabitants a varied, convivial and unique setting with great cultural wealth. Everything is easily and quickly accessible, in preserved nature and space, where humans, well-being and quality of life are the focus. Everyone living there can invent their ideal way of life, carry out their projects and make the very most of their time to find a unique balance.

Canton of Valais
With its internationally renowned summits and glaciers, Valais opens its doors to you and offers sporting activities all year round. Its terroir will not be left behind either: with cheese, fruit, vegetables, meat and, of course, wine, the Valais lands offer many delights, enhanced by the know-how of its residents.

The cross-sectoral promotional body Valais/Wallis Promotion aims to promote the canton in Switzerland and abroad depending on the different sectors of activities, focusing its actions on the market needs. To do this, it uses various tools, including the Valais territorial brand, which enables it to strengthen Valais’s reputation.

Canton of Vaud
The Canton of Vaud will delight you with its cultural wealth, its landscapes and its academic excellence. Moreover, sport is one of its priorities: alongside the world-renowned events that take place every year, almost 60 international sporting federations and organisations, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), have taken up residence on Vaud territory. So it is only natural for the Tour de Romandie to regularly criss-cross this canton.
