Prologue Saint-Imier
Saint-Imier
Nestling in the heart of the Grand Chasseral region in the Canton of Berne, Saint-Imier is a dynamic municipality with a blend of history and modernity, tradition and innovation. Renowned for its watchmaking heritage and cultural wealth, it is a pleasant place to live for its 5,100 inhabitants. This veritable land of energy offers an environment that helps its businesses grow. Many sporting and cultural events are organised throughout the year. Surrounded by nature, Saint-Imier is also a perfect gateway to many open-air activities, such as visiting the Mont-Soleil mountain, its wind turbines and its solar power plant.

1ère étape Münchenstein by Primeo Energie - Fribourg
Despite the integration into an urban environment and the city of Birsstadt, many single-family homes, duplexes, and small apartment buildings continue to shape our image.
We take care of our Birspark landscape, on the banks of the Birs River that gave us its name. Additionally, the Brüglingen plain, one of the largest urban green spaces in Switzerland, is located on the land of Münchenstein. It is here that you'll find the highly cherished Parc Pré Vert, the historic Villa Merian, as well as numerous sports facilities, including the FC Basel junior campus.
Münchenstein offers a wide and varied range of education, from kindergarten to high school. Great importance is placed on extracurricular and after-school care. Furthermore, we are a university location with the University of Art and Design (HGK) at the Dreispitz site, as well as a university site with sports institutions in the St. area.

1ère étape Münchenstein by Primeo Energie - Fribourg
Fribourg

Cossonay
The small town of Cossonay – whose origins go back to the Middle Ages – was once the capital of the district and is now an important regional centre, which is continuing to grow and will soon pass the milestone of 5,000 inhabitants. With its great infrastructure, the town offers a large range of economic, sporting, cultural and touristic activities. Located between Lake Geneva and the Vallée de Joux, connected by public transport – including the famous funicular railway – and a road network including the N1 motorway, Cossonay is an attractive place, combining town and countryside. It is a place where life is good.

4ème étape Sion -Thyon 2000
Sion
Sion, capital of the Canton of Valais. With its narrow little streets climbing towards the castles and museums, the mediaeval old town is one of the best preserved in Switzerland. It is also one of the liveliest, with its dozens of boutiques and its shopping centres, as well as the many restaurants and terraces where you can enjoy the sun all year round. In summer, the streets turn into theatres and concert venues, with many events giving rhythm to the life of the city. From Sion, experience the Canton of Valais by bike: from Thyon 2000 and Derborence, to Val d’Hérens and the Sanetsch Pass, there is much to see.

4ème étape Sion -Thyon 2000
Thyon 2000
The Thyon-Région resort is particularly suitable for family holidays. It has many holiday apartments and offers a pretty panorama dominated by the very famous Matterhorn and the majestic Dent Blanche. Thyon is particularly well-adapted to the needs of skiers and constitutes the eastern tip of the vast “4 Vallées” area.

5ème étape Contre-la-montre Genève
Geneva
Geneva is not just the city with the Water Fountain. It is also a city of sport, boasting 21 sport facilities and centres, and around a hundred sport associations and clubs. Organising and co-organising more than thirty sporting events every year, the city has also been working hard in recent times to attract large sporting events. The Tour de Romandie is part of this strategy. The City of Geneva’s authorities are therefore delighted to welcome such a competition and enable the public to see exceptional athletes.
