The TV audience figures for the 79th Tour de Romandie in Switzerland confirm the boom driven by “Pogi-mania,” reflected in spectator turnout, media presence, and social media impact, with videos surpassing one and even two million views. More than 200,000 people in French-speaking Switzerland watched the Tour on RTS 2 for at least 15 consecutive minutes. The stages drew an average audience of 38,000 viewers and a market share of 30.7%—figures up compared to the previous edition, which had already been boosted by the presence of Remco Evenepoel.
This 2026 edition of the Tour de Romandie, won by Tadej Pogačar, generated very strong ratings. In French-speaking Switzerland, 202,000 people followed the race on RTS 2 for at least 15 consecutive minutes, according to initial estimates.
The prologue and five stages recorded an average audience (rating) of 38,000 viewers and an average market share of 30.7%, marking another increase after the success of the 2025 edition (27.9%). A peak audience of 104,000 viewers was reached during the final stage on Sunday at 4:15 p.m., at the moment of the finish in Leysin.
As for the program Autour du Tour, broadcast before and after each stage, it attracted an average of 21,000 viewers, with an average market share of 16%.
